We recently participated in the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the MiDia® PGP optical underground cable at the Lightera factory in Morocco.

The cable’s design brings together robust protection — with a double PE sheath — and advanced optical performance using two fiber types from Lightera’s portfolio: AllWave®+ (G.652.D) and TrueWave® REACH (G.655.C/E).

The FAT confirmed the cable’s mechanical strength, optical performance, and compliance with international standards. These results highlight both the reliability of the product and the importance of thorough testing in delivering trusted solutions.

This cable will soon be deployed in Montenegro’s Luštica project, creating two new underground routes between the Radovići substation and the Lastva–Tivat 110 kV transmission line.
